From 8 to 10 December, at the invitation of the European Association of Service Providers for People with Disabilities (EASPD), representatives of NASO and the Vision Agency visited social enterprises in Brussels. As part of the program of events organized by EASPD, working discussions and presentations were held on the topics of implementation of assistive technologies in the social sector and methods for successful communication between members and partners of EASPD.
The visit to social enterprises showed the successfully introduced good practices for working with people with different types of disabilities. The participants shared their experience and views on the topic of creating better conditions for the development of work skills of workers in social enterprises and their integration into society, as well as encouraging employers to create employment for people with disabilities.
The good experience for the development of social enterprises in Europe shows and motivates how it can be applied for the successful development of social enterprises in Bulgaria, namely through promotion and sustainability, equal treatment, creating conditions for interaction, consultation, open dialogue and and sharing responsibility among all stakeholders. Supporting entrepreneurship and the social economy is one of the main tasks of NASO in its mission.
