Project Theme – “Transition from School to Employment” (BITSE)
The examination of barriers which inhibit the transition from school to employment for persons with disabilities in matters is related to vocational education and training.
Aim: To list, contrast and compare the attitudinal and structural barriers which restrict or prohibit the transition from school to employment for persons with disabilities.
Objectives:
• To list, contrast and compare the barriers to employment in all partner countries
• To evaluate these barriers and make recommendations on overcoming them
• To raise awareness amongst authorities and other relevant stakeholders
• To improve the transition from school to employment for persons with disabilities
• To increase the numbers of persons with disabilities in employment
Project Results/Products:
• Project Report : Comparative Analysis of barriers in all partner organisations
• Recommendations on overcoming the barriers which inhibit the transition from school to employment for persons with disabilities
• Booklet highlighting the barriers typical to all partner countries
