The “Member Forum of Employment” meeting was held on 06.03.2023 with the aim to elect a new co-chairman.
There were two candidates for the position – Antonio García (Fundacio Espurna) and Kaiti Katsouda (Theotokos). The election results will be announced in a week on 13th of March, 2023.
Furthermore, the organization’s annual work plan for 2023 was discussed. The main interest of the members is related to the contribution to the EU employment package for people with disabilities.
The members agreed with Stef de Cock’s proposal to set up working groups to provide input to initiatives 3, 4 and 5 of the EU Disability Employment Package:
* Working group / Initiative 3 – Reasonable accommodation
* Working group / Initiative 4 – Retaining persons with disabilities at work
* Working group / Initiative 5 – Securing vocational rehabilitation schemes in case of sickness or accident
Members will contribute with policies and best practices with the aim to produce a document, which will be presented to the Commission.
