On 05 October, in the Municipality of Dobrich a round table at the local level took place, which is organized as a follow-up to the implementation of the CO-RESP project, in which NASO and the Municipality of Dobrich are partners. During the event, the good experience gathered from the visit to Gleisdorf, Austria, where a social service provider presented practices and solutions to achieve temporary and long-term sustainability through social value-added procurement, was presented to the stakeholders.
A representative of NASO also participated in the meeting, focusing on the rationale for involving the municipality in the project, noting that the aim is for the municipality as a structure to outsource tasks to social enterprises. As a long-term outcome after the end of the CO-RESP project, it is intended that this model will be promoted in other municipalities and that the promotion of employment of people with disabilities through social procurement will be an increasingly popular method.
After the roundtable, an “Action Plan for Social OP” will be prepared at a national level with recommendations for improving the practical implementation of the practices.
