During the past week, NASO’s team participated in a joint online meeting with our partners from ASSP (Association of the Social Service Providers). Both NASO and ASSP were asked to assist with carrying out an extensive research on the HELPDESK project which is coordinated by EASPD and aims to help social service providers gain better access to EU funds, especially the European Social Fund + (ESF+) and the European Fund for Regional Development (ERDF). The main aim is to help the managing authorities make better use of EU funds to finance the right social projects.
The aim of the Helpdesk project is to improve and optimize the use of European funds provided under EU projects in the social sector, but in this case, the inquiry is not towards the state institutions, but directly to the providers of social services in Bulgaria and 9 other countries. The same event will be held in each of the 10 countries with a similar program and questions for the interested parties. All these events will take place around the same time.
NASO and ASSP have a successful coordination in the preparation for the upcoming event in Sofia on November 3, 2022. A joint invitation is prepared for all interested parties. We are expecting one gripping and fruitful discussion which will help us identify the relevant cases. Our international partners from EASPD will gain an in-depth insight and understanding of the Bulgarian social services challenges.
