On February 2, a representative of NASO participated in a webinar “EASPD Policy Cafe on the EU Action Plan on Social Economy” during which the European Union’s strategy on social entrepreneurship and social service institutions was presented. The legal frameworks in the social economy of the different member states were discussed – challenges and trends for development at regional and transnational level.
The meeting provided real examples of different types of problems (legal and political) in the EU member states, which discussed the challenges of the possibility of active involvement of stakeholders in the processes of social entrepreneurship and related activities. The focus of the EASPD’s 2021-2030 plan also includes facilitating access to finance for the countries of the Western Balkans, as well as existing partners in Eastern Europe. Special emphasis was placed on social innovations and their real application in solving social cases.
