On November 23, the NASO team organized an online discussion on the topic: “Discussion of a project of
Ordinance on the quality of social services. ” The meeting was attended by members of the Expert Council of the Alliance, members of the formed working groups to discuss standards and criteria for quality of social services and teams of social services, including CDC “St. Nikolay Chudotvorets ”, CPC – Gulyantsi, KZSU – Targovishte, CSRI – Pleven, CPC – Gabrovo and others.
The moderator of the event, Ms. Susan Aliosmanova, who is an expert “Social Services, Employers and Projects” at NASO and manager of the Social Development Complex in Targovishte, presented the main pre-made by the participants proposals for standard social services. During the lively discussion, the participants commented on the standards for the services “Counseling and Information”, “Therapy and Rehabilitation”, “Assistant Support” and others. The topic of the obligatory and recommended positions for the specialists in the social sphere was also touched upon.
The online discussion ended with a summary of the proposals made under the draft Ordinance on the quality of social services. The Alliance team continues to be an active participant in the legislative process, motivating and encouraging the timely involvement of all stakeholders in an open dialogue to improve the quality of social services in the country and raise the living standards of vulnerable groups in Bulgaria.
