NASO has participated in SACP Working Group
On 21 April 2017 the first meeting of the Interdepartmental Working Group to the National Council for Child Protection was held at the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, aiming to develop a set of rules for operating on child protection cases involving foreign children in Bulgaria. The participants discussed the 2015 mechanism for working with refugee children and the set of rules to be developed. The aim is to create conditions for solving cases of unaccompanied children applying for asylum in Bulgaria who are refused refugee status or humanitarian protection, as well as those who do not wish to apply for such status. The Working Group was established after a decision of the National Council for Child Protection to create specialized services for placement of unaccompanied children in order to provide quality care for this group of children.
