On December 11, 2015 in the municipality of Troyan a meeting between Mr. Georgi Georgiev, President of National Alliance for Social Responsibility (NASO) and Ms. Donka Mihaylova, Mayor of Troyan Municipality was held. During the meeting, Mr. Georgiev expressed his and NASO gratitude for the kind hospitality of Troyan Municipality for last annual events of NASO and shared his good impression by the social services visited within some of these events. It was pointed out that Troyan approach as a small town for social services development with own funding and contracting these services for provision by NGOs is highly appreciated. Ms. Mihaylova on her behalf and as a participant in NASO national forums and knowing the NASO work in details expressed appreciation for the way NASO unites various structures at a national and local level and aiming to develop and improve social policies and services for people in need and expressed her personal commitment to the development of this activity. With a strong mutual interest the need for social entrepreneurship development in Bulgaria was discussed. This important topic for NASO was discussed with a very good professional approach and understanding by Mrs. Mihaylova, and it was concluded that social entrepreneurship is very important and useful area, especially for smaller municipalities where a significant part of municipal activities have a function of social support and a role of social entrepreneurship. A mutual support for development and improvement of the efforts in the field of social work was agreed, as well as specific partnership regarding social entrepreneurship and implementation of innovative models, pilot projects, and solving the problem of lack of regulation.
